About Miriam
To practice Yoga is to return to the body and the breath. It can be a revolutionary process of coming home to one’s true self. Miriam Tratt is a certified yoga teacher, dedicated to the practice of Yoga and meditation for over 15 years. Over the years, Miriam’s most profound healing and learning has come through practicing Yoga. Always a student, she maintains a daily practice and participates in regular advanced teacher trainings. With a background in social service work including addictions counseling, group facilitation and front-line work - her commitment to service and love of community shows up in Miriam’s Yoga classes. Her personal experience with trauma combined with her work in the mental health field, inform her teachings in trauma-sensitive Yoga. Miriam works along side children with special needs and has the opportunity to offer Yoga to some awesome kids at an inner-city school in Vancouver, BC. In addition, she is part of the Yoga staff serving up 'trauma-sensitive Yoga' to clients at Onsite (part of the continuum of care at Insite supervised injection site in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside). Miriam’s deepest wish is for others to have the chance to return home to themselves. |
Practice and all is coming.
